The Assistant Manager FP&A; will support RCPL's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis processes. The role will partner closely with business and functional stakeholders to drive data-backed decision-making, ensure robust financial controls over planning cycles, and deliver timely, accurate management information to leadership

Role & responsibilities

- Support preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), periodic budgets, and rolling forecasts across business units.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and provide clear commentary on key drivers of deviation.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and management presentations for leadership review.
- Partner with business, sales, and category teams to track performance against targets and highlight risks & opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial models to support business cases, pricing decisions, new initiatives, and investment proposals.
- Support cost analysis, profitability analysis (P&L; by category/channel/region), and working capital tracking.
- Drive automation and standardization of recurring MIS/reporting processes to improve accuracy and turnaround time.
- Assist in month-end and quarter-end closing activities from an FP&A; / management reporting standpoint
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across planning, reporting,



and ERP systems.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by the Finance leadership team.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) for financial reporting and data extraction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good business acumen with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively business-partner with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, ownership, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Required Qualifications

- MBA (Finance) / CA / CMA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification in Finance.
- 4+ years of relevant post-qualification work experience in FP&A;, financial planning, business finance, or corporate finance roles.
- Prior experience in FMCG, consumer products, retail, or a similarly rapid-paced, high-volume business environment is preferred.
