The Role

- As "Agile" Delivery & Release Manager, you'll be part of our journey to build the next generation of our product platform.

- Your scope covers agile delivery facilitation, cross-team dependency management, timeline forecasting, and release planning and execution.

- This is a delivery role, not a people-ma nagement role: you own the "when" - working alongside Product (the "what"), Engineering (the "how") and Business (the "why") to keep delivery predictable, dependencies unblocked, and releases well planned.

- You'll report to the founders, and your stakeholders will span product, engineering, QA and business teams.

What You'll Do

Agile Team & Project Management

- Drive facilitation of agile ceremonies such as standups, retros and team activities.

- Own the kanban walls, ensuring they're always up to date and prioritised by the product team.

- Act as agile project manager, following a Scrum or Kanban flavour shaped by the team.

Delivery

- Drive estimation of duration based on engineering's complexity estimates.

- Compile a timeline of milestones aligned with product prioritisation and engineering estimates.

- Keep the timeline and forecasted delivery dates always up to date.

- Initiate review or re-estimation of the timeline when scope changes.

- Update the timeline when priorities change.

- Report timeline status to business: immediately on change, and via bi-weekly summaries.

- Keep business timeline expectations and team estimates aligned, driving consolidation where they diverge.

- Track and drive resolution of cross-team dependencies to minimise stall time.

- Identify blockers and drive their resolution.

- Highlight blockers, resource shortages and bottlenecks to all other teams.

Releases





- Plan releases as deliverables of product increments to the business.

- Manage all intersections of release planning with business, marketing, engineering, QA and support.

- Ensure necessary stakeholders are available during deployment activities.

- Document release history.

- Conduct release retros and liaise with support on incidents.

What You Bring

- You've spent 5+ years in delivery, release and agile project management roles, ideally in a multi-team product engineering environment, with startup experience and the pace that comes with it. You genuinely enjoy the multitude of responsibilities a role like this carries in a startup, rather than seeing it as scope creep. You're grounded in Scrum and Kanban, but you adapt ceremonies to what a team actually needs rather than following a playbook rigidly, and you bring pragmatic estimation and prioritisation rather than theoretical rigour.

- You've built and maintained delivery timelines from engineering estimates, and you re-forecast confidently when scope or priorities shift. You have a track record of surfacing and resolving cross-team dependencies and blockers before they cause delay, and of planning and running releases end-to-end, including coordination with support and stakeholders outside engineering.

- Your communication is factual and direct you report status, including bad news, to business stakeholders early and plainly, without spin. You work easily across multiple teams and time zones, know how to bring focus and structure to a fast-paced environment, and have a vast set of tools in your toolbox, acquired from experience, to shape the success of your activities. You're solid with Jira and Confluence.
