Role Description The Adjunct Faculty – CSE role at Amity University involves teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Engineering, following the university’s curriculum and academic standards.

Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions; designing and assessing assignments, quizzes, and exams; and providing timely, constructive feedback to learners. The faculty member will participate in curriculum enhancement, integrate current industry and research trends into teaching,



and support academic activities such as mentoring projects, guiding student research, and contributing to academic events. This is a part-time adjunct position with scheduled teaching hours and limited additional duties.

This is an in office role located in the Greater Kolkata Area, requiring regular presence on campus for classes and student engagement.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Engineering domains such as algorithms, data structures, operating systems, databases, computer networks, and programming.
- Ability to design and deliver effective course content, including lecture materials, lab exercises, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
- Competence in using educational technologies and learning management systems for classroom instruction, grading, and student communication.
- Excellent teaching, mentoring, and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse student body and support inclusive learning.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching or academic experience at the university level; relevant industry or research experience is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to academic integrity, continuous learning, and collaboration with colleagues in curriculum development and academic initiatives.
- Ability to work in office in the Greater Kolkata Area and manage part time adjunct responsibilities alongside other professional commitments.
