About the Company

Buyroots Homeware LLP is the company behind Kichera – The Natural Kitchen, a growing D2C brand focused on natural, non-toxic and healthy kitchen products.

As we scale our business across marketplaces, our own D2C website and other sales channels, we are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant – Finance, Budgeting & Financial Planning to strengthen our finance and accounting function.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who can manage day-to-day accounting operations while also supporting financial forecasting, budgeting, cash-flow planning and business financial analysis.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience preparing P&L;, Balance Sheet, final accounts, cash-flow statements and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Final Accounts

- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
- Prepare monthly and annual Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
- Assist in preparation of final accounts and financial statements.
- Perform bank, payment gateway and other account reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain proper documentation and supporting records for financial transactions.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and other finance professionals when required.

Budgeting & Financial Forecasting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.




- Develop financial forecasts based on sales, expenses, inventory and business plans.
- Compare actual performance against budget and identify variances.
- Prepare variance analysis and highlight key financial issues to management.
- Support management in financial planning and business decision-making.

Cash Flow Management

- Prepare and maintain regular cash-flow forecasts.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing cash.
- Plan cash requirements based on inventory purchases, operating expenses and business commitments.
- Identify potential cash-flow gaps in advance and communicate them to management.
- Track working capital and improve cash-flow visibility.

Business Finance & MIS

- Prepare monthly financial MIS reports for management.
- Track revenue, expenses, gross margins and profitability.
- Analyze channel-wise and product-wise financial performance.
- Support management with financial data and business analysis.
- Develop useful Excel/Google Sheets reports and financial dashboards.
- Maintain financial data accuracy and ensure timely reporting.

Compliance & Controls

- Assist with GST, TDS and other statutory accounting requirements.
- Ensure accounting entries and financial records are maintained accurately and on time.
- Support internal financial controls and reconciliation processes.





Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience in preparing P&L;, Balance Sheet and Final Accounts.
- Valuable understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting and cash-flow management.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
- Experience with Tally Prime is preferred.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- D2C / E-commerce / Retail
- Amazon / Flipkart / Shopify accounting
- Inventory and working-capital management
- Financial MIS and business reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cash-flow planning
- Multi-channel sales reconciliation

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who can go beyond routine accounting and understand the financial side of the business.

The right candidate should be able to answer questions such as:

- Where is our cash going?
- How much cash will the business need next month?
- Are we achieving our budget?
- Why did expenses increase?
- Which sales channels are profitable?
- What will our financial position look like in the coming months?
