Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accounts professional to manage Gamefuel's day-to-day accounting and finance operations on a part-time basis. You will own payments, invoicing, basic payroll support, banking, and financial record-keeping for the studio.
This is an independent, high-trust role suited to an experienced accounting skilled looking for a flexible, part-time engagement — primarily remote, with periodic visits to the office for banking, documentation, and coordination needs.
What will you do:
1. Process vendor and contractor payments accurately and on schedule, including tracking due dates and approvals.
2. Raise, track, and reconcile client invoices; follow up on outstanding receivables.
3. Support basic payroll processing — salary/stipend calculations, deductions, and coordination with HR for monthly payouts.
4. Manage banking files and transactions — online transfers, cheque handling, bank reconciliations, and liaising with the bank as needed.
5. Maintain accurate books of accounts (Tally/Zoho Books or similar), including day-to-day bookkeeping and ledger entries.
6. Maintain organized financial records — invoices, receipts, contracts, and statutory documents — for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
7. Track petty cash and reimbursements, and maintain expense records.
8. Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings, and coordinate with the external CA/auditor as required.
9. Support month-end closing activities and prepare basic MIS/reports (payables, receivables, cash flow snapshots) for leadership.
10. Flag discrepancies, delays, or compliance risks proactively to leadership.
What are we looking for:
Prior experience managing end-to-end accounts for a small-to-mid-sized company or studio, ideally including payroll and banking exposure.
1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and finance operations.
2. Proficiency with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
3. Working knowledge of payroll processing basics, GST/TDS compliance, and banking procedures.
4. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
5. Trustworthy and discreet with confidential financial and payroll information.
6. Self-driven and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
7. Willingness to visit the office periodically for banking/documentation needs.
8. Prior experience with a start-up, agency, or studio environment is a plus.
Why Join Gamefuel?
1. Be part of a passionate and creative team that values collaboration and innovation.
2. A dynamic and energetic start-up culture
3. Opportunity to work on diverse game projects
4. Flexible, independent engagement that fits around your schedule
5. Flat organisation with zero bureaucracy
Role Details
1. Location: Remote, with visits to Gamefuel Office, Pune, Maharashtra, India
2. Employment Type: Part-time engagement
3. Engagement Pattern: Approx. 2–3 hours daily; 8 office visits per month for banking/documentation
4. Start Date: Immediate
