- Diagnosing problems with medical equipment and making necessary repairs to address them
- Performing routine maintenance, such as replacing parts
- Updating maintenance records with information about work performed
- Teaching medical professionals how to operate current medical equipment and answering questions about usage
- Providing advice about which new medical equipment facilities should invest in
- Staying up to date on the latest innovations in biomedical equipment technology
