Job Description

- Process guest payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system for room charges, restaurant bills, and retail purchases
- Manage cash drawer operations, including opening, closing, and reconciliation at the end of each shift
- Maintain strict cash handling procedures and security protocols to ensure the protection of hotel funds
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests whilst processing transactions in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify payment methods, including credit cards, cheques, and cash, and identify any discrepancies or fraudulent transactions
- Prepare daily financial reports and reconciliation statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
- Balance the till and report any variances to the Finance Manager
- Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and financial transactions
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries and resolve payment-related issues with professionalism
- Comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and financial regulations




- Support the front office team during peak periods to ensure effective guest check-in and check-out processes
- Keep the cashier station organised, clean, and secure at all times

Qualifications

- Secondary school education or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cashier or similar financial transactions role, preferably in a hospitality environment
- Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling equipment
- Strong numerical and mathematical skills with the ability to perform accurate calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Fluency in English; additional language proficiency (Hindi, Mandarin, or other regional languages) is advantageous.
