Description

Lead assignments within design by analysis function. Work independently as well as mentor entry level Engineering analysts. The position will be located at Chandigarh/Pune.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

- Develop and validate RBD/MBD simulation models for mechanical and offshore systems.
- Perform kinematic and dynamic analyses to evaluate loads, motions, forces, and system performance.
- Define simulation methodology, assumptions, and acceptance criteria.
- Support product design, optimization, and failure investigations through dynamics analysis.
- Generate design loads for structural and FEA assessments.
- Review analysis results and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Mentor junior engineers and review their technical work.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and quality processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide regular project updates.

NON-ESSENTIAL

- Prepare Analysis process documents
- Contribute to improving existing Engineering processes
- Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals
- Should be open to travel as per business needs
- Work towards individual goals aligned with department and organizational objectives




- Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures
- Understand and adhere to organizational HSE policies and practices

Supervisory Responsibilities

- This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities

Reporting Relationship

- Reports to Manager – Engineering

Qualifications

Graduation (bachelor’s degree) in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years of industry experience; - OR -

Post-Graduation (master’s Degree) in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years of industry experience.

Desired

- Expert level knowledge on use of FEA & calculation.
- Strong knowledge of more than one relevant Mechanical industry codes/standards (e.g.; ASME, DNV, API, AISC etc.)
- Basic knowledge of CAD software used.
- Valuable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
