Position: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Project ManagementDepartment: Project Management / NPDEducation: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Automobile / ProductionLocation: VadodaraExperience: 5–10 YearsReporting To: Head – NPD / Project ManagementKey Responsibilities
- Lead multiple automotive NPD projects and manage project plans, WBS, Gantt charts, milestones and critical paths.
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchase, Tool Room, Testing, Production, Suppliers and Sales teams.
- Drive customer reviews, requirements, approvals, open points and escalations.
- Monitor prototype development, tooling, testing, validation, PPAP and SOP readiness.
- Identify project risks and issues, maintain action and risk registers, and drive recovery plans.
- Manage engineering and customer changes, including their impact on cost, timing, tooling and validation.
- Track project budgets, tooling and development costs, supplier milestones,



and prepare management reports.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Automotive PDS and APQPPPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, DVP&R;, MSA and SPCWorking knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA FMEA and VDA 6.3Product development, prototype development, testing and validationEngineering Change Management and supplier APQP/developmentProficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project/equivalentSAP, PLM/PDM and Power BI will be an added advantage.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a skilled with 5–10 years of automotive experience, preferably with 3+ years in NPD / Project Management. Experience with automotive OEM/Tier-1 customers and hands-on APQP/PPAP and product development experience will be valuable.Preferred certifications include PMP, APQP/PPAP, VDA FMEA, IATF 16949 Internal Auditor and VDA 6.3.
