ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Consultant with deep expertise in Core ABAP, ABAP on S/4HANA, and SAP Fiori/UI5 development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing custom applications across both S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environments, leveraging modern frameworks like RAP and OData.

Scope: Based in Hyderabad, India; may require occasional travel.

Reporting to: SAP Development & User Experience Lead

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using Core ABAP, OO ABAP, and ABAP on HANA.

Develop and expose OData services for integration with Fiori and external systems.

Implement RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) for modern, cloud-ready applications.

Design and develop Fiori/UI5 applications using SAP Web IDE, BAS, and Visual Studio Code.

Work on BTP deployments including destination setup, XSUAA authentication, and Cloud Foundry environment.

Optimize custom developments using CDS Views, AMDP,



and ABAP Managed Database Procedures.

Clean Core & Extensibility: In-App Extensibility, Side-by-Side Extensibility using BTP, and adherence to SAP Clean Core principles

Participate in all phases of development requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Work closely with functional consultants and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, clean core strategy, and performance optimization.

Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot performance issues, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Contribute to innovation initiatives, automation, and process improvements within the SAP landscape.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Core ABAP: Smart Forms/Adobe Forms, Enhancements, User Exits, BADIs, IDOCs, Interfaces, Performance optimization.

ABAP on S/4HANA: CDS Views, AMDP, Table Functions, Annotations, ABAP in Eclipse (ADT), RAP Model, Fiori Integration, and Extensibility options.

Fiori/UI5 (S/4HANA and BTP Development):

Developing and deploying Fiori/UI5 applications both on S/4HANA and SAP BTP.

Building and consuming OData services, working with Fiori Elements, and Freestyle UI5 apps.

Implementing BTP-specific developments using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).

Configuring Destinations, XSUAA Authentication, and managing HTML5 repository deployments.

Setting up and maintaining Launchpad Site Manager and Fiori Launchpad configurations.





Designing and managing SAP Build Work Zone sites

Managing roles, tiles, spaces, and pages for unified workspace access.

Clean Core Approach:

Adopting upgrade-safe extension strategies with minimal modifications to SAP standard.

Extensibility:

Expertise in both In-App Extensibility (Custom Fields, Custom Logic, CDS Extensions) and Side-by-Side Extensibility using SAP BTP.

Tools & Environments:

SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), Eclipse (ADT), Git, CTS+, GIT-enabled Change Management, SAP Web IDE.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

8-10 years of total SAP ABAP development experience as Full Stack Consultant .

Experience in OData service development and integration with SAP UI5 / Fiori apps.

Exposure to SAP BTP extension and deployment scenarios (Cloud Foundry, Destinations, XSUAA).

Proven experience in end-to-end project lifecycle: design, build, testing, and deployment.

Experience working with functional consultants, business users, and cross-functional teams.

Good understanding of SAP Clean Core and Extensibility concepts (In-App and Side-by-Side).

Participation in AI and automation projects is a plus.
