Job Description:

What Youll Be Doing (position summary):

n

The Application Developer is responsible for the detailed technical design and

n

development of

n

applications using various technology platforms. The role utilizes a solid understanding of

n

business

n

dynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with

n

recommended

n

solutions. The incumbent determines methods and approaches to projects, transforming

n

business

n

requirements specifications into programming instructions, designing, coding, and testing

n

programs. The role also plays a key part in the development and implementation of

n

database

n

management solutions, supporting the companys backup plans. Considerable judgement

n

and

n

autonomy are exercised in day-to-day tasks, including data source analysis and

n

negotiation with

n

users regarding requirements.

n

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):

n

Programming Skills:

n

Develop, code, and test end-to-end stack of applications.

n

Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, and

n

debugging.

n

Systems Implementation:

n

Participate in and conduct technical design, development, and integration of cross-

n

functional, multiplatform application systems.

n

Troubleshooting and Technical Skills:

n

Work closely with key business and technology partners to ensure business and client

n

impact issues are well understood and addressed.

n

Ensure adherence to all regulatory and information security standards and policies in

n

application management.

n

Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of application development

n

projects.

n

Relationship Management:

n

Build strong relationships and partnerships with technical team members, clients, vendors,

n

and peers.

n

Lead discussions, listen, and ask questions to ensure problems/issues are identified and

n

resolved.

n





Communicate detailed information in an impactful way, verbally and in writing.

n

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

n

Collaborates with peers inside and outside the work unit to identify, discuss, and resolve

n

business issues related to application development.

n

Interacts regularly with business partners, technology teams, and vendors to obtain and

n

exchange information, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.

n

Works closely with internal clients to ensure systems and processes supporting

n

applications

n

are operating effectively and efficiently.

n

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES

n

As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes

Experience: 5+ years of experience

n

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

n

Must Have Skills:

n

5+ years experience as an Application Developer/Support and Integration Specialist.

n

Good knowledge and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.

n

Proficient in databases (Oracle, PL/SQL), batch processing, TFS, Agile methodologies,

n

firewalls, FTP, and SFTP.

n

Experience in Azure migrations from Informatica to Azure Data Factory and/or Databricks

n

and use of other Azure solutions

n

Experience in application production support, logical thinking, organizational and

n

troubleshooting skills.

n

Ability to manage relationships with technology and business partners.

n

Advanced verbal and written communication skills.

n

Good to Have:

n

Experience with Netezza, Autosys, Java, . Net, Github.
