Job Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment for assigned business functions, ensuring timely closure of positions with high-quality and diverse talent. The role will work closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand workforce requirements, develop effective sourcing strategies, manage candidate pipelines, and deliver a positive candidate experience.
The role will support objective of attracting the right technical, professional, engineering and leadership talent required to support its evolving automotive and mobility businesses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Hiring
- Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from manpower requisition to offer release and onboarding.
- Understand job requirements, define candidate profiles and develop appropriate hiring strategies.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely closure of open positions.
- Screen and shortlist candidates based on technical, functional and behavioral requirements.
- Conduct initial HR screening and competency-based interviews.
- Coordinate technical/functional interviews with hiring managers and business stakeholders.
- Manage offer discussions, compensation alignment and offer closures.
- Ensure smooth pre-joining and onboarding coordination.
2. Talent Sourcing
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies using job portals, Linked In, employee referrals, internal talent pools, recruitment agencies and other channels.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and niche automotive skills.
- Identify passive candidates for difficult-to-close positions.
- Leverage data and recruitment technology/AI-enabled tools to improve candidate identification and matching.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring managers and business leaders.
- Conduct regular recruitment reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide market intelligence around talent availability, compensation, competitor hiring and notice periods.
- Challenge hiring requirements where necessary and recommend alternative sourcing/hiring approaches.
- Maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers and external recruitment partners.
4. Recruitment Agency Management
- Manage external recruitment consultants and agencies for specialized or high-volume requirements.
- Define search mandates and monitor agency performance.
- Track CV quality, interview-to-selection ratio, turnaround time and closures.
- Ensure agencies comply with recruitment processes and policies.
5. Campus & Early Career Hiring
- Support graduate, trainee, internship and campus recruitment programs.
- Develop relationships with universities and engineering institutes.
- Participate in campus drives, career fairs and employer branding initiatives.
- Build pipelines of young engineering and management talent specifically identifies early-career recruitment and relationships with educational institutions as important talent-acquisition levers.
6. Diversity & Employer Branding
- Support initiatives to attract diverse talent, including female professionals and high-potential candidates.
- Promote Employee Value Proposition across relevant talent channels.
- Participate in recruitment campaigns,
employee referral programs and employer branding activities.
- Ensure an inclusive and positive candidate experience.
7. Recruitment Analytics & Process Improvement
- Track recruitment KPIs such as:
- Time to Fill
- Time to Hire
- Offer-to-Joining Ratio
- Source Effectiveness
- Cost per Hire
- Agency Contribution
- Interview-to-Selection Ratio
- Offer Acceptance Rate
- Candidate Experience
- Aging of Open Positions
- Prepare regular recruitment dashboards and reports.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data in the ATS/HRIS.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment, preferably within the automotive, engineering, manufacturing or technology sector.
- Experience in hiring engineering, R&D;, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, purchasing, finance and corporate functions would be advantageous.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management and recruitment delivery.
- Experience handling multiple positions and competing hiring priorities.
- Good knowledge of sourcing platforms, Linked In, job portals and recruitment technology.
- Working knowledge of ATS/HRIS systems; experience with SAP Success Factors would be an advantage.
