Role Overview

n

We are looking for a Strategic Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience working with global clients. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping — you will act as a financial partner to our clients, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting financial strategy, and helping streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

n

Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP.

n

Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.

n

Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.

n

Prepare monthly management reports, including P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

n

Support client CFOs with variance analysis and strategic insights.

n

Assist in process improvements and implement best practices for efficiency.

n





Collaborate with the Celeste team to deliver high-quality client experiences.

Requirements

n

Proven bookkeeping/accounting experience under US GAAP.

n

Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.

n

Hands-on experience with one or more accounting platforms:

n

QuickBooks Online (QBO)

n

Xero

n

Sage Intacct (or similar mid-market systems).

n

Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

n

Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with global teams.

n

Excellent communication skills in English.

n

Nice to Have

n

Prior experience working with CFO advisory firms, SaaS, eCommerce, or service-based businesses.

n

Familiarity with workflow tools (Ramp, Dext, Gusto, Bill.com, Hubdoc, etc.).
