Job Summary:

The Application Engineer will play a key role in the technical deployment, product demonstration,

and customer support for advanced anti-corrosive and fire-retardant coatings. The role bridges

technical performance with commercial success, requiring close interaction with R&D;, Sales, and key

industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of coating technologies and

be capable of providing in office application support, conducting field trials, and converting customer

needs into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Application & Support:

Supervise and support on-site application of coatings on steel, concrete, wood, composite surfaces

Substrate.

Conduct adhesion, corrosion resistance, and fire testing as required.

Provide technical troubleshooting at customer locations and document findings.

Customer Engagement & Selling Support:

Partner with sales teams to present technical capabilities to clients, consultants, and specifiers.

Assist in preparing technical proposals, data sheets,



and application protocols.

Deliver presentations, product demos, and training to customers and applicators.

Actively participate in pre-sales and post-sales support, enhancing customer satisfaction and

retention.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze coating performance data from field trials and customer feedback.

Generate application reports, inspection logs, and failure analysis summaries.

Recommend improvements in formulation or process based on application feedback.

Track KPIs related to application quality, customer complaints, and product returns.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, Polymer Science, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years in application engineering or technical service roles, preferably in industrial

coatings or specialty chemicals.

Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, fire-retardant chemistry, and coating performance

parameters.
