Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The Casting Junior is responsible for assisting in the casting process of precious metals and alloys under the supervision of the Casting In-Charge. The role ensures smooth execution of daily operations such as tree making, and cleaning, maintaining high-quality standards and supporting on-time jewelry production.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Casting Process Support
- Assist in tree making, investment preparation, and casting activities as per given instructions.
- Support the team during alloying, melting, and pouring processes to ensure proper casting quality.
2. Quality Checking
- Help inspect casted pieces for defects, porosity, shrinkage, or other issues.
- Report any irregularities or deviations to the supervisor immediately.
3. Material Handling
- Handle and label materials (gold, platinum, alloys) carefully as per standard procedures.
- Maintain proper segregation and documentation of materials.
4. Process Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the casting area, machines, and tools.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and prepared before and after casting.
5. Data & Record Maintenance
- Assist in maintaining daily production and material usage records.
- Support in tracking rejections or returns and help in corrective actions.
6. Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols while handling machinery, molten metal, and chemicals.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
7. Team Coordination
- Work closely with senior casting associates and supervisors to meet production targets.
- Support colleagues in achieving On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery and efficiency goals.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achieve assigned daily casting targets.
- Maintain zero accident and safety compliance.
- Maintain quality with minimum rework or rejection rate.
- Ensure timely reporting and task completion.

Role Specifications
Qualification:
10th / 12th Pass or ITI in relevant trade (preferred)
Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in jewelry casting or related production work (freshers with technical aptitude can also apply)
CTC Bracket:
?1.8 – ?2.8 Lakhs per annum
