Role Description The Sr Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our production facilities in Bhavnagar. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations for dehydrated onion, garlic, and related products, ensuring that output meets quality, food safety, and efficiency standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, managing production teams and supervisors, monitoring machinery performance, and coordinating with procurement, quality assurance, maintenance, and warehouse functions.

The Sr Production

Manager will implement and improve SOPs, ensure compliance with global food safety and certification requirements, manage inventory levels and throughput, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize yield and minimize waste. The role also involves analyzing production data, preparing reports for leadership, supporting audits, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability on the shop floor.

Qualifications

- Solid production management and operations skills, including production planning, capacity management, and shop-floor supervision.




- Expertise in food processing or FMCG manufacturing, especially in dehydrated foods or agro-based products, with solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Experience working with modern, automated production machinery and equipment, including basic troubleshooting and coordination with maintenance teams.
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards such as BRC, FSSC 22000, Global GAP, and related audit requirements.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, production reporting, and use of MS Office or similar tools for analysis and documentation.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and manage diverse production teams.
- Proven ability to implement continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or similar methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
