Job Description
About Delta Exchange India:
n
n
Delta Exchange India is one of India's leading crypto derivatives platforms, offering INR-settled futures and options on Bitcoin, Ethereum and other major cryptocurrencies on an FIU-registered platform. Automation is core to our product — through REST/Web Socket APIs, Webhooks, Algo Marketplace and our AI-powered API Copilot, we're making algorithmic trading accessible to everyone from quants and developers to first-time automated traders.
n
n
About the Role:
n
We're looking for a Community Manager – Algo Business to build one of the most trusted crypto algo trading communities.
n
India's algo traders are scattered across Telegram groups, Discord servers and Twitter threads. We want Delta to be where that community actually lives — where a beginner deploys their first bot and an experienced quant compares notes on execution.
n
This role is for someone who genuinely loves talking to algo traders. You'll spend your days in conversation with users — in Online forums, on calls, at meetups — and turn what you learn into content, events and product feedback. Success isn't measured in follower counts, but in how many traders are actively building and deploying on Delta.
n
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Own our community across Online Community forums — structure, rituals, moderation, day-to-day engagement.
n
- Be the first responder: answer questions, unblock traders, escalate bugs, make sure no API question goes unanswered.
n
- Identify and nurture power users and strategy builders; run ambassador and early-access programmes.
n
- Plan and execute offline meetups, hackathons and strategy competitions across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and other hubs — plus online AMAs, workshops and guest sessions.
n
- Create content that lowers the barrier to algo trading: getting-started guides, API tutorials, strategy walkthroughs, backtesting explainers.
n
- Keep documentation,
sample code and cookbooks genuinely useful — you should be able to write and test a basic strategy yourself.
n
- Capture community pain points and translate them into structured, prioritised product feedback.
n
- Track what's brewing globally — agentic tooling, AI copilots, no-code automation — and bring it back to our users and our roadmap.
n
- Define and track community metrics: active builders, deployed strategies, resolution time, new-trader retention.
n
n
n
Requirements:
n
n
- 1–3 years in community management, developer relations, growth, content or a trader-facing role. Exceptional candidates with less formal experience but deep algo credibility will be considered.
n
- A real understanding of algo trading — you know what a backtest is, why slippage matters, what a webhook does. You don't need to be a quant, but you can't be faking it in front of one.
n
- You genuinely enjoy talking to traders. This role involves hundreds of conversations a month.
n
- Awareness of the algo landscape in India and globally — the tools, the communities, the interesting builders, where it's heading.
n
- Strong written communication: a clear tutorial, a crisp announcement, well-structured product feedback.
n
- Comfort with technical material — API docs, sample code, explaining a strategy to a beginner.
n
- Self-starter with strong ownership, comfortable with ambiguity and willing to travel for events.
n
n
n
Valuable to Have:
n
n
- Hands-on experience building, backtesting or running your own strategies or bots.
n
- Existing network in Indian trading, quant or developer communities.
n
- Experience running Discord/Telegram communities at scale, or organising meetups and hackathons.
n
- Ability to write Python well enough to build demos and debug user issues.
n
- Personal trading experience in crypto or Indian markets.
n
n
