About the Role We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Developer who can design and build modern, interactive React-based applications on top of the Snowflake Data Cloud, while leveraging Snowflake's native AI/ML capabilities (Cortex functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and ML-based analytics) to deliver intelligent, data-driven products. This role sits at the intersection of application development, data engineering, and applied AI — ideal for someone who enjoys building end-to-end experiences directly inside the Snowflake ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities • Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom React front-end applications that integrate with Snowflake as the backend data layer (via Snowpark Container Services, SPCS-hosted apps, or Snowflake APIs).

• Frontend & UI: Build interactive dashboards, internal tools, and customer-facing apps using React, integrated with Snowflake data via REST APIs, Snowpark, or SQL API.

• Data Layer: Develop and optimize Snowflake objects (tables, views, stored procedures, UDFs/UDTFs) to support application data needs.

• AI/ML Integration: Implement and integrate Snowflake Cortex AI features (Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, LLM functions, ML Functions) into applications to power natural-language querying, semantic search, and predictive insights.

• Native App & Container Deployment: Package and deploy applications using Snowflake Native Apps Framework and/or Snowpark Container Services (SPCS) for scalable, secure delivery within customer Snowflake accounts.

• Backend Development: Write efficient Snowflake SQL and Python/Snowpark code for data transformation, feature engineering, and application logic.

• Security & Governance: Implement role-based access control, secure data sharing,



and governance best practices for applications built on Snowflake.

• Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and AI/ML teams to translate business requirements into functional, scalable applications.

• DevOps: Set up CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, version control, and automated testing.

• Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve responsiveness, scalability, and cost-efficiency on Snowflake.

• Data Analysis: Analyze data trends, user behavior, and application usage patterns within Snowflake to generate insights, reports, and dashboards that inform product and business decisions.

Required Skills &

Experience • React Development: 4+ years building production applications with React.js (hooks, state management, component architecture, REST/GraphQL integration).

• Snowflake Core: Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SQL, Snowpark (Python), stored procedures, UDFs, and performance tuning.

• Snowflake App Deployment: Practical experience deploying applications via Snowpark Container Services (SPCS) or the Snowflake Native Apps Framework.

• Snowflake AI Capabilities: Demonstrated experience using Snowflake AI/ML capabilities — Cortex functions (COMPLETE, SUMMARIZE, SENTIMENT, etc.), Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search,



or Snowflake ML Functions/Model Registry.

• Data Security & Governance: Solid understanding of Snowflake security model — roles, RBAC, secure views, row/column-level security, and data sharing.

• Programming: Proficiency in Python for data processing, API development, and Cortex/ML integration.

• APIs: Experience building and consuming REST APIs to connect front-end applications with Snowflake-hosted data and services.

• Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to work across the full stack from database to UI. Preferred / Nice-to-Have • Certifications: SnowPro Core and/or SnowPro Advanced: Architect certification.

• Additional Frameworks: Experience with Streamlit in Snowflake in addition to React-based apps.

• AI/ML Depth: Familiarity with vector embeddings, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, and LLM prompt engineering.

• Frontend Tooling: Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, or Tailwind CSS.

• Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) underlying Snowflake deployments.

• Marketplace Apps: Previous experience building or contributing to a Snowflake Native App published on the Snowflake Marketplace.
