Job Summary

Seeking a Fluid Systems Engineer to design, develop, and optimize fluidic systems for medical devices and laboratory equipment. The role involves applying fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles to create reliable, high-performance solutions. The engineer will perform CFD analysis, experimental testing, prototyping, and system validation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product integration, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop fluidic systems and components for medical and laboratory products.
- Apply fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles to achieve performance and reliability objectives.
- Conduct CFD simulations, laboratory experiments, and data analysis to evaluate and optimize fluid behavior.
- Develop, prototype, and test fluidic components such as pumps, valves, channels, sensors, and actuators.
- Select and evaluate materials to enhance system functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during product development and integration activities.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical problem-solving initiatives.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, scalability, cost efficiency, and product quality.
- Maintain technical documentation, test records, and laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and other applicable regulatory and quality standards.

Skill Requirements

- Strong knowledge of Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer.
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and simulation tools.
- Proficiency in experimental design, testing, data analysis, and validation methodologies.
- Knowledge of fluidic components including pumps, valves, sensors, actuators, and flow control systems.
- Understanding of material selection and compatibility for fluidic applications.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM)



and product optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of medical device development processes and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO).

Minimum Salary (US): 69000

Compensation and Perks

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
