Role Description The Senior Software Engineer 3 will design, build, and optimize backend services and infrastructure that power FireAI’s causal intelligence platform in a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai. This position involves architecting scalable systems, implementing robust APIs, and integrating complex data pipelines from multiple enterprise sources. The engineer will collaborate with product, data science, and frontend teams to deliver new features, improve performance, and ensure reliability and security of the platform.

Daily work includes writing high-quality code, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting production issues,



and contributing to technical design discussions and best practices. The role also entails mentoring other engineers and helping shape the engineering culture and standards within FireAI.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Hands-on expertise in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or similar).
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and working with databases and distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and application in large-scale, production codebases.
- Experience building scalable, high-availability systems and working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Comfort working with data-intensive applications, including integration of multiple data sources and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, and willingness to mentor peers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in analytics, AI/ML platforms, or enterprise SaaS products is a plus.
