Job Description
Build the intelligence layer behind our business.
n
n
We’re looking for an AI & Business Intelligence Lead to transform how we use data across the company.
n
This is not a traditional Data Analyst role.
n
We want someone who is exceptional with AI — particularly Claude — and knows how to combine AI, data, dashboards, automation and business thinking to give leadership a real-time understanding of what is happening across the company.
n
You’ll take data that currently lives across spreadsheets, marketing platforms, e-commerce systems, finance, CRM, operations and other tools and turn it into live dashboards, automated reporting and actionable business intelligence.
n
n
The ultimate goal is simple:
n
At any moment, leadership should be able to understand:
n
What happened?
n
Why did it happen?
n
What needs our attention?
n
What should we do next?
n
n
What You'll Do
n
n
Build our company-wide intelligence system
n
Create a centralized reporting ecosystem covering areas including:
n
n
- Revenue & profitability
n
- Marketing performance
n
- CAC, ROAS, MER and LTV
n
- Conversion funnels
n
- Landing page performance
n
- Customer acquisition
n
- Retention & subscriptions
n
- Sales
n
- Finance
n
- Customer experience
n
- Operations
n
- Inventory
n
- Product performance
n
n
You'll work with leadership and individual departments to determine the KPIs that actually matter and how they should be measured.
n
n
n
Build live dashboards
n
Turn fragmented data into clear, easy-to-understand dashboards using tools such as:
n
n
- Google Looker Studio
n
- Google Sheets / Excel
n
- AI-generated dashboards and artifacts
n
- Internal web dashboards
n
- BI and visualization platforms
n
n
You should know how to take something currently being tracked manually in five different spreadsheets and turn it into one reliable source of truth.
n
n
n
Use AI to build faster
n
You should be highly proficient with Claude and modern AI tools.
n
We want someone who uses AI every day to:
n
n
- Build dashboards and internal tools
n
- Analyze large datasets
n
- Write and debug code
n
- Create reporting workflows
n
- Generate SQL
n
- Connect data sources
n
- Automate repetitive analysis
n
- Identify anomalies and trends
n
- Generate executive summaries
n
- Prototype new internal applications
n
n
If you still approach every analytics problem the same way you did before generative AI, this probably isn't the right role.
n
n
Connect our data
n
You'll help automate the movement of data between systems.
n
Depending on the project, that could mean working with:
n
n
- APIs
n
- SQL
n
- Google Sheets
n
- Excel
n
- Databases
n
- Webhooks
n
- Data connectors
n
- ETL tools
n
- E-commerce platforms
n
- Advertising platforms
n
- CRM systems
n
- Finance systems
n
n
You don't necessarily need to be a full-time Data Engineer, but you should be technical enough to figure out how to get data from Point A to Point B reliably.
n
n
Turn data into decisions
n
Building dashboards is only half the job.
n
We want someone who can interpret what the data is telling us.
n
Instead of simply reporting:
n
"Conversion rate decreased from 4.2% to 3.6%."
n
We want you to investigate why .
n
Was it traffic quality?
n
A specific advertising channel?
n
A recent landing page?
n
Mobile conversion?
n
Checkout abandonment?
n
A pricing change?
n
A particular country?
n
Then communicate the answer clearly to leadership.
n
Build AI-powered executive reporting
n
We want to eventually automate much of our company reporting.
n
For example, leadership should receive a weekly report explaining:
n
n
WHAT HAPPENED
n
The biggest changes across the business.
n
WHY IT HAPPENED
n
The drivers behind those changes.
n
WHAT NEEDS ATTENTION
n
Anomalies, risks and opportunities.
n
WHAT WE SHOULD DO
n
Specific recommended actions based on the data.
n
Your job will be to help build the data infrastructure and AI workflows that make this possible.
n
What We're Looking For
n
You are probably someone who sits somewhere between:
n
n
n
Business Intelligence + Data Analytics + AI + Automation + Business Strategy.
n
You should be strong in several of the following:
n
n
- Claude / Claude Code
n
- Advanced AI prompting and workflows
n
- Excel
n
- Google Sheets
n
- Looker Studio
n
- SQL
n
- APIs
n
- Data visualization
n
- Dashboard development
n
- Data automation
n
- Business analytics
n
- AI-assisted coding
n
- Python
n
- ETL / data pipelines
n
n
But technical skills alone aren't enough.
n
n
You need to understand business.
n
n
You should be comfortable analyzing metrics like:
n
CAC, LTV, ROAS, MER, AOV, conversion rate, retention, churn, gross margin, contribution margin, revenue growth and profitability.
n
Most importantly, you need to be extremely resourceful.
n
We want someone who can be given a messy business problem and figure out how to solve it.
n
You're Probably a Great Fit If...
n
You use Claude or other advanced AI tools constantly and believe AI has fundamentally changed how analytics and business intelligence should be done.
n
You love taking messy spreadsheets and turning them into something structured and useful.
n
You can build things yourself instead of constantly needing engineering resources.
n
You naturally ask "Why?" when you see a number change.
n
You can move between technical work and commercial thinking.
n
You can explain complicated data in a way that a CEO can understand in 60 seconds.
n
And when someone says:
n
"I wish we had a dashboard that could show us..."
n
Your instinct is:
n
"I can probably build that."
n
Example Project
n
As part of the interview process, we may give you several messy datasets representing different areas of a business.
n
Your challenge will be to use Claude and whatever tools you think are appropriate to turn the data into:
n
n
- A working executive dashboard
n
- Automated KPI reporting
n
- An executive summary of the business
n
- Identification of important trends or anomalies
n
- Recommendations for what leadership should do next
n
n
We care less about which tools you use and more about how quickly and intelligently you can turn raw information into something useful.
n
What Success Looks Like
n
Within your first few months, leadership should be able to open one place and understand the health of the entire business.
n
Over time, we want to build an internal AI-powered business intelligence layer that continuously analyzes the company and helps us make faster, better decisions.
n
n
You'll be the person responsible for helping us build it.
