Role Description

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join the Roots team. The role involves developing current designs and collections from concept to final product, with a strong understanding of fabrics, silhouettes, embellishments, and garment construction.

The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for fashion,



be comfortable experimenting with contemporary and traditional Indian techniques, and be able to turn ideas and references into commercially viable designs.
- Strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, with the ability to translate concepts into commercially viable collections.
- Experience with Textiles and Embroidery, including fabric selection, surface ornamentation, and material sourcing.
- Proficiency in Fitting, garment construction understanding, and working with pattern makers and sampling units.
- Ability to conduct trend and market research, create mood boards, and develop cohesive design stories.
- Knowledge of design tools (e.G., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software) is highly beneficial.
- Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and an understanding of comfort, functionality, and durability in apparel.
