What would you do?
- You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions.
- - Sound knowledge of financial controls, approval requirements, segregation of duties, audit evidence, record retention, and regulatory or reporting compliance.
- - Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies, challenge unsupported balances, negotiate priorities, and communicate risks with clarity. What are we looking for?
- Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Experience of relevant Record-to-Report, general ledger, balance sheet reconciliation, or financial-close experience, including at least 3 years in a people-management or operations-management role.
- Demonstrated accountability for a complex portfolio, high-risk accounts, audit interactions,
senior-stakeholder governance, and delivery through a team. Roles and Responsibilities:
- - Own end-to-end delivery and governance of monthly, quarterly, and year-end balance sheet reconciliations across the assigned portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, policy compliance, and close-calendar adherence.
- - Translate business priorities into operating plans, allocate resources based on risk and materiality, manage capacity, and ensure service commitments are achieved.
- - Provide managerial review and approval for complex, judgemental, or high-risk reconciliations, substantiation, ageing, commentary, supporting evidence, and corrective journal entries.
- - Act as the escalation point for technical and operational issues involving general ledger, sub-ledger, bank, intercompany, accrual, provision, clearing, and other balance sheet accounts.
- - Own the exception-management framework by assessing financial and control exposure, driving root-cause resolution, assigning accountable owners, and escalating overdue or material items.
- - Maintain a solid control environment through adherence to accounting policies, materiality thresholds, approval requirements, segregation of duties, audit trails, and evidence-retention standards.
- - Define and monitor operational KPIs, service levels, completion status, ageing, exceptions, financial exposure, and control risks; provide concise insights and recommendations to finance leadership.
- - Build effective relationships with controllers, account owners, auditors, onshore teams, and cross-functional leaders to resolve issues, align priorities, and support business outcomes.
- - Lead, coach, and develop team members; set clear objectives, conduct regular performance discussions, strengthen succession and capability plans, and foster an inclusive, accountable culture.
- - Oversee internal and external audit support, ensure timely and accurate responses, and hold owners accountable for closure of remediation actions.
