Position QA Automation Engineer Automation and Performance Testing

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design develop and execute automated testing solutions This role combines functional automation and performance testing the candidate will use Playwright with Java to build scalable UI and API test suites and Apache JMeter to assess application stability speed and responsiveness under load

Key Responsibilities:

- Automation Framework Development Design implement and maintain robust scalable end-to-end automation test frameworks using Playwright with Java
- Functional and API Testing Write clean maintainable automation scripts for frontend UI workflows and backend RESTful APIs using standard OOP design patterns such as the Page Object Model
- Performance Engineering Gather nonfunctional requirements and create performance test plans Script execute and analyze load stress and spike tests using Apache JMeter
- CICD Integration Integrate automated functional and performance test suites into CICD pipelines such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI




- Defect Management and Reporting Identify isolate and document software defects using tools such as Jira Analyze JMeter HTML dashboards and Playwright traces to identify performance bottlenecks and code defects
- Agile Collaboration Participate in sprint planning daily standups and code reviews Work closely with developers and product managers to support a shiftleft testing approach
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Core Language Solid proficiency in Java including OOP concepts collections multithreading and build tools such as Maven or Gradle
- UIAPI Automation Handson experience building web automation test architectures using Playwright or migrating legacy Selenium suites to Playwright
- Performance Tools Practical experience with Apache JMeter for scripting distributed load generation and analysis of key performance metrics such as latency throughput and error rates
- DevOps and Tools Experience with Git and integration with CICD environments
- Testing Methodologies Strong understanding of the STLC AgileScrum processes and functional regression strategies
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud based performance platforms such as Blaze Meter or monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic Datadog or ELK
- ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification
