The SMaRT Trial is an intervention study evaluating the effects of a structured progressive resistance exercise and nutritional intervention on muscle health and functional outcomes among women receiving treatment for breast and gynaecological cancers. The study will assess changes in muscle strength, muscle mass, physical function, fatigue, quality of life and treatment-related outcomes, along with relevant biochemical/biomarker assessments. The Project research scientist-I will support participant recruitment, nutritional and physiological assessments, implementation and monitoring of the intervention, follow-up and study documentation.
Salary : Rs.26,000/- p.m

- Identify and assist the study coordinator in screening and recruiting eligible patients from hospital-based oncology services and other appropriate sources as per the study protocol.
- Coordinate and schedule participant visits for baseline, intervention and follow-up assessments.
- Assist in conducting and coordinating physiological, functional and biochemical assessments of recruited participants according to the study protocol.
- Assist with collection, processing, labelling, storage and transportation of biological samples as per approved study SOPs.
- Assist the study team in coordinating muscle strength, physical function and other physiological assessments at specified study time points.
- Maintain accurate records of participant investigations, study visits and assessment results
- Actively follow up recruited participants and assist in maintaining participant retention throughout the study.
- Document intervention adherence, missed visits, treatment-related events and other study-related outcomes as instructed by the study team.
- Perform timely and accurate data entry into case report forms, study databases and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in verification and cleaning of research data and maintain appropriate source documents.
- Coordinate with investigators, study coordinator, laboratory and clinical teams to ensure timely completion of study procedures.
- Assist in preparation of periodic project reports and study-related documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant information and comply with the approved study protocol, institutional ethics requirements and research procedures.
- Undertake other project-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator/Study Coordinator.
Preferred Qualifications: BSC MLT or DMLT Age Criteria : 30 Years
Experience : Preference for candidates with experience in nutrition counselling and lifestyle management programs and Should have experience in running research study especially intervention programs
Preferred Language: English, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi
