nSamvedna Development Society (SDS) is a non-profit organization working on skill development, livelihoods, community development, and sustainable development initiatives in collaboration with Government Departments, development partners, training institutions, employers, and other stakeholders.
n
nPosition Overview
nSamvedna Development Society is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with experience in managing Skill Development Projects and Project Management Units (PMUs) .
nThe candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project planning, implementation, monitoring, team management, stakeholder coordination, government liaison, MIS, compliance, and reporting . The role will involve working closely with Government Departments, implementing agencies, training partners, and other stakeholders to ensure achievement of project objectives and deliverables.
nExperience in PMKVY, DDU-GKY, PMKKY, Skill India initiatives, government projects, PMU assignments, or similar development-sector programmes will be preferred.

nKey Responsibilities
nProject Planning & PMU Management
n
n
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and overall management of assigned projects.
n
- Support and manage Project Management Unit (PMU) activities, processes, and deliverables.
n
- Develop project plans, implementation roadmaps, timelines, work plans, and monitoring frameworks.
n
- Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders for effective project implementation.
n
- Track project milestones, targets, deliverables, and timelines.
n
- Identify implementation gaps and ensure timely corrective actions.
n
nSkill Development Project Implementation
n
n
- Manage skill development projects under PMKVY, DDU-GKY, PMKKY, Skill India , and similar government programmes.
n
- Ensure effective mobilization, counselling, training, assessment, certification, and placement of beneficiaries.
n
- Monitor project targets and ensure achievement of agreed outcomes.
n
- Coordinate with training centres, trainers, mobilization teams, assessment agencies, and placement partners.
n
nTeam & Stakeholder Management
n
n
- Supervise project teams, field staff, trainers, coordinators,
and other project personnel.
n
- Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of project deliverables.
n
- Liaise with Government Departments, NSDC, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), training partners, employers, development partners, and other stakeholders .
n
- Organize and participate in review meetings, workshops, consultations, and stakeholder meetings.
n
- Maintain effective communication and coordination between PMU, field teams, government authorities, and implementation partners.
n
nGovernment Liaison & Compliance
n
n
- Coordinate with government authorities for project approvals, reviews, inspections, reporting, and compliance requirements.
n
- Ensure adherence to applicable government scheme guidelines, PMU requirements, NSDC/SSC norms, SOPs, and contractual obligations .
n
- Maintain complete project records and documentation for monitoring and audit purposes.
n
- Support project inspections, assessments, audits, and monitoring visits.
n
nMIS, Monitoring & Reporting
n
n
- Monitor project MIS and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
n
- Develop dashboards, progress reports, analytical reports, presentations, and project MIS .
n
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), project targets, and outcome indicators.
n
- Analyse project data and provide actionable insights to management and stakeholders.
n
- Prepare periodic reports, success stories, case studies, and other project-related documents.
n
nQuality Assurance & Monitoring
n
n
- Monitor quality of project implementation and training delivery.
n
- Conduct field visits and periodic reviews to assess project progress.
n
- Monitor infrastructure readiness, trainer performance, beneficiary attendance, assessment, certification, and placement outcomes.
n
- Review beneficiary feedback and identify areas for improvement.
n
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
n
nPlacement & Livelihood Linkages
n
n
- Coordinate with employers and industry partners to develop placement opportunities.
n
- Support placement drives, employer engagement, and candidate interviews.
n
- Track placement outcomes and post-placement sustainability.
n
- Strengthen employer and livelihood linkages to improve project outcomes.
n
n
nQualifications & Experience
n
n
- Graduate / B.Tech or above from a recognized institution.
n
- MBA, PG Diploma in Management, Development Studies, Social Work, or related qualification will be preferred.
n
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in project management, PMU operations, skill development, livelihood, employability, or government-funded projects.
n
- Candidates with experience in PMU/Project Management Unit assignments will be strongly preferred.
n
- Experience in PMKVY, DDU-GKY, PMKKY, Skill India, NSDC, SSC, or similar government programmes will be an advantage.
n
- Experience in government liaison, team management, MIS, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination is required.
n
- Prior experience with NGOs, development organizations, consulting firms, training partners, or government projects will be preferred.
