Role Purpose The Head – Talent Acquisition will lead strategic and large-scale talent acquisition initiatives for the organization’s rapidly expanding thermal, nuclear, and conventional power business. The incumbent will build a robust talent pipeline to support greenfield, brownfield, EPC, O&M;, engineering, design, commissioning, and corporate functions while ensuring timely acquisition of high-quality technical talent across multiple locations.
This role demands a seasoned recruitment leader capable of driving high-volume and niche hiring across engineering, project execution, design, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and leadership positions, including C-suite executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the talent acquisition strategy aligned with the organization’s business expansion plans in the thermal, nuclear, and power generation sectors.
- Lead large-scale recruitment campaigns for greenfield and brownfield power generation projects.
- Build a sustainable talent pipeline for emerging and future manpower requirements.
- Drive end-to-end recruitment across engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, commercial, finance, HR, legal, HSE, and project management functions.
- Hire talent across all organizational levels, from graduate engineers and frontline professionals to senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Establish robust talent mapping and market intelligence for the power and energy ecosystem.
- Develop relationships with EPC companies, utilities, engineering consultancies, OEMs, and industry professionals to create a continuous leadership pipeline.
- Partner closely with business leaders to understand workforce planning and forecast future hiring needs.
- Build and mentor a high-performing Talent Acquisition team capable of supporting aggressive business growth.
- Leverage technology, AI-enabled sourcing, analytics,
and recruitment automation to improve hiring efficiency.
- Define and monitor recruitment KPIs including time-to-hire, quality-of-hire, offer-to-join ratio, cost-per-hire, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience while strengthening the employer brand within the power and energy industry.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners on succession planning and strategic workforce initiatives.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; an MBA in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of dedicated Talent Acquisition leadership experience within the thermal power, nuclear power, conventional energy, EPC, or allied infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record of managing high-volume, multi-location hiring for technical and engineering roles.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Deep understanding of the talent landscape across thermal power generation, nuclear energy, EPC contracting, engineering consulting, heavy manufacturing, and utility operations.
- Strong expertise in competency-based interviewing, executive search, workforce planning, talent mapping, and employer branding.
- Experience managing recruitment agencies, executive search firms, and internal recruitment teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with multiple concurrent hiring priorities.
