Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Distribution

Location: Pune

Position Summary

Zuventus Healthcare Ltd. is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Deputy General Manager – Distribution to lead and strengthen the company's nationwide distribution operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring seamless product availability across markets through effective management of stockists, C&F; operations, distribution planning, claims management, collections, channel compliance, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will work closely with field sales leadership, supply chain, finance, commercial, and external channel partners to drive operational excellence and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution Management

- Drive end-to-end pharmaceutical distribution operations across India.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Stockists, Super Stockists, Distributors, and C&F; partners.
- Ensure uninterrupted product availability and optimal inventory levels across the distribution network.
- Monitor and improve secondary sales service levels and distribution efficiency.

Stockist Management and C&F; Operations

- Evaluate, appoint, and manage stockists in line with company policies and market requirements.
- Oversee C&F; operations, warehousing, dispatch planning, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain teams to optimize stock movement and minimize operational disruptions.

Claims & Expiry Management

- Lead claim settlement processes develop robust mechanisms for expiry management, product recalls, and stock liquidation.
- Ensure timely closure of claims while maintaining financial discipline.





Collections & Commercial Governance

- Monitor receivables and collections across channel partners.
- Work closely with Finance and Sales teams to ensure adherence to credit policies.
- Drive reduction in overdue payments and improve working capital efficiency.

Distribution Planning & Execution

- Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and Demand Planning teams to ensure effective distribution planning.
- Monitor inventory deployment and market stock levels to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
- Support new product launches through efficient channel readiness and inventory deployment.

Trade Associations Management

- Build and maintain solid relationships with pharmaceutical trade associations and distributor bodies.
- Handle distributor association matters, negotiations, and conflict resolution effectively.
- Manage union-related issues and ensure business continuity while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.

Field Sales & Stakeholder Collaboration

- Act as a key interface between Distribution, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and Regulatory functions.
- Work closely with Zonal, Regional, and National Sales Leaders to strengthen channel effectiveness.
- Provide field teams with distribution insights, stock visibility, and commercial support.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

- Any Graduation + MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or General Management preferred.

Experience

- 12-18 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical Distribution, Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, or Channel Management.
- Experience handling pan-India stockist networks and C&F; operations.
- Strong exposure to trade channel management, claims settlement, collections, and expiry management.
