Role: Cloud Platform & AI Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6 months + extendable

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Location: Hybrid - Onsite 2 days a week in Hyderabad, Telangana

Overview

Our customer is seeking a hands-on Cloud Platform & AI Engineer to support and enhance an AWS-based sandbox platform, data-processing workloads, automation, and emerging AI/ML capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings at least four years of relevant experience and can work across AWS infrastructure, Linux, Python, Infrastructure as Code and distributed data-processing technologies. This role also provides an opportunity to work with emerging Generative AI technologies, including LLM applications, MCP servers and AI agent workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Support, maintain and enhance AWS-based cloud platform environments.

- Provision and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

- Develop Python-based automation, platform utilities, APIs, and data-processing solutions.

- Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments, including scripting, networking, performance monitoring, and operational support.

- Provision, configure, operate, and troubleshoot AWS EMR clusters and Spark-based workloads.

- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize Apache Spark and PySpark workloads.

- Support monitoring and operational visibility using AWS CloudWatch and related AWS services.

- Contribute to AI/ML and Generative AI initiatives, including LLM-based applications, MCP servers and agentic workflows.

- Support automated build and deployment processes using Jenkins, GitHub,



Bitbucket or comparable CI/CD tooling.

- Assist with cloud security, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, and logging.

- Support containerized and data-science development environments as applicable.

- All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of relevant cloud, platform, software, or data engineering experience.

- Strong hands-on AWS experience, particularly with EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, EMR and CloudWatch.

- Solid Python development and scripting skills for automation, platform utilities, APIs, and data processing.

- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform to provision and maintain AWS environments.

- Hands-on experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Apache Spark/PySpark workloads.

- Experience provisioning, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting AWS EMR clusters and Spark workloads.

- Strong Linux administration skills, including scripting, troubleshooting, networking, performance monitoring, and operational support.

- Practical exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI, including LLM-based applications, MCP servers, AI agents or agentic workflows and related frameworks.

- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket or comparable CI/CD and source-control technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.

- Experience supporting containerized workloads.

- Experience with REST APIs.

- Experience with monitoring, logging, vulnerability remediation, and cloud security.

- Experience supporting JupyterHub, JupyterLab or comparable data-science and ML development environments.
