ELV Engineer – Job Role An ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of low-voltage building systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and coordinate ELV systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
Prepare and review shop drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics, and cable schedules.
Coordinate ELV works with electrical, HVAC, fire-fighting, civil, and architectural teams.
Supervise installation and ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of ELV systems.
Review material submittals, technical specifications, and equipment selections.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients.
Conduct site inspections and prepare IRs, checklists, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Monitor project progress, quality,
safety, and compliance with project requirements.
