Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server & PostgreSQL DBA to manage, support,

n

optimize, and enhance enterprise database environments across on-premises and cloud

n

platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database administration, SQL

n

development, performance tuning, migration, and production support. This role requires

n

hands-on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud-managed database services,

n

along with the ability to collaborate effectively with application development,

n

infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

n

Required Skills & Experience

n

n
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Database Administration and SQL Development.
n
- Robust expertise in SQL Server DBA activities supporting mission-critical production
n

n

environments.

n

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and

n

troubleshooting.

n

• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures,

n

functions, views, and triggers.

n





• Experience with query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, database

n

optimization, and performance troubleshooting.

n

• Experience with database migration, schema conversion, data migration, and

n

modernization projects.

n

n
- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL.
n
- Strong understanding of backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery,
n

n

and database security best practices.

n

• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar

n

technologies.

n

• Familiarity with database deployment tools, version control, and CI/CD processes.

n

Preferred Skills

n

n
- Exposure to Flyway, Liquibase, Alembic, or similar database migration tools.
n
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
n
- Knowledge of database monitoring, observability, and capacity planning tools.
