About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build a solid foundation in day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting entries, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations on a regular basis
Prepare and post month-end accruals and adjusting entries
Support the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and flag discrepancies
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed




Maintain accurate documentation and supporting schedules for audits
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting queries

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
0 to 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience (freshers with solid fundamentals welcome)
Working knowledge of accounting principles (IGAAP/Ind AS as applicable)
Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Zoho books is a plus
Robust attention to detail and accuracy
