Core Responsibilities

​Drawing Interpretation & Layout: Reads structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) working drawings. Verifies centerlines, column offsets, slab levels, and layout markings in office prior to execution.

​Stage-Wise Supervision:

​Substructure & RCC: Inspects rebar spacing, diameter, lap lengths, cover blocks, and formwork alignment before concrete pours. Supervises batching, pouring, and vibrator compaction.

​Masonry & Finishes: Tracks blockwork/brickwork alignment, plaster plumb, tile levels, waterproofing applications in wet areas (toilets, balconies, terraces), and door/window frame fixing.

​Quality Control & Material Testing: Conducts field quality tests (slump cone tests, casting concrete cubes for 7- and 28-day compressive tests, silt tests on sand). Inspects incoming bulk materials like cement bags, aggregate,



and steel bundles against delivery challans and test certificates.

​Measurement & Quantity Tracking: Takes actual in office measurements of work completed by subcontractors (shuttering, bar bending, masonry, painting) to prepare entries for the Measurement Book (MB) and verify contractor running bills.

​Daily Site Reporting: Prepares the Daily Progress Report (DPR), documenting active labor counts, machinery deployment, daily material consumption, weather conditions, and work completed per floor/wing.

​Safety & Housekeeping: Enforces basic site PPE compliance (helmets, safety shoes, harnesses at heights), ensures scaffolding stability, and coordinates curing schedules (minimum 7 to 14 days).
