Responsibilities:
Format and typeset Children Books, and other publications according to client specifications.
Ensure accuracy in layout, typography, and design consistency across projects.
Work with editors, designers, and project managers to meet quality and deadline requirements.
Adapt layouts for print and digital publishing formats (eBooks, PDFs, etc.).
Maintain knowledge of publishing standards, fonts, and typographic rules.
Layout pages as per client requirements and specifications within the stipulated time.
Making sure all marked corrections are properly interpreted and diligently carried out, no errors induced.
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop will be an added advantage.
Requirements:
Proven experience in typesetting,
preferably in the publishing industry.
Proficiency in typesetting and publishing software.
Robust attention to detail with excellent grammar, spelling, and formatting accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of eBook formatting and accessibility standards is a plus.
