Project Engineer
Site Engineer for Hospital Interior Projects, the role is broader than a typical interior site engineer because hospitals have strict quality, safety, infection control, and MEP coordination requirements.
Job Title
Site Engineer Hospital Interior Projects
Job Purpose To supervise and execute hospital interior construction works, ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution
Supervise daily interior construction activities. Execute work according to approved drawings and specifications.
Plan manpower, materials, and equipment.
Monitor daily work progress against the project schedule.
Quality Control
Ensure all work meets project quality standards. Inspect gypsum partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall cladding, painting, doors, modular furniture, and medical fixtures.
Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
Hospital-Specific Coordination
Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, fire fighting, nurse call, IT, CCTV, and access control teams. Ensure no damage to existing hospital services during renovation.
Follow hospital infection control protocols.
Billing
Preparing of measurement book
Issuing of invoice
People management.
Day to day responsibility sharing with down the line of site supervisors for keeping records of
Materials management
HR formalities
Supervisor work assign and report taking recociliations.
Safety
Conduct daily toolbox talks. Ensure workers use PPE.
Maintain a clean and secure worksite.
Report accidents and near misses immediately.
Material Management
Verify incoming materials. Check quantities and quality.
Maintain material consumption records.
Prevent wastage.
Required Skills
Ability to read AutoCAD drawings.
Knowledge of hospital interior finishes.
Understanding of MEP coordination.
Knowledge of safety standards.
Positive communication and leadership skills.
Problem-solving ability.
Preferred Qualification
Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering.
3–5 years of experience in interior fit-out projects.
Experience in hospitals is highly preferred.
Reporting
Reports to: Project Director
Coordinates with: Client, Architect, Consultants, MEP Engineers, QA/QC Engineer, Safety Officer, and Subcontractors.
