An Indian Tandoor Commis 1 is a junior-to-mid-level qualified kitchen cook responsible for operating the clay oven (tandoor), preparing marinades, and crafting traditional Indian breads and grilled dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. [1, 2, 3]Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Prepare mise-en-place (chopping, measuring, and organizing ingredients), and execute traditional tandoori marination for meats, paneer, and vegetables. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Cooking Operations: Safely fire up, regulate, and manage the temperature of the tandoor oven. Cook items like kebabs, tikka, lamb chops, and breads (naan, roti, paratha) according to standard recipes. [1, 2, 3]
Station Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the tandoor work area, tools, and equipment following strict food safety and hygiene guidelines. [1, 2, 3]
Inventory & Support:



Monitor stock levels in the tandoor section, report shortages, and support senior chefs during peak service hours. [1, 2, 3]

Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience working in a qualified Indian or multi-cuisine tandoor kitchen.
Skills: Strong knowledge of spice blending, flavor profiles, and tandoor cooking techniques.
Education: A diploma or certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts is often preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and work in a hot, high-pressure workplace

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
