Role Description The Intern: Water Resources Engineering role is a full time, in office position based in the Pune Division. The intern will support the water resources team by assisting in data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to water supply, water quality, and wastewater systems. Daily tasks may include preparing technical reports, developing basic hydraulic and hydrologic models, and supporting the design and evaluation of water and wastewater treatment solutions.
The intern will help compile maps and spatial data using GIS tools, contribute to project documentation, and assist in coordinating with internal teams.
This role offers hands-on exposure to water resource management projects and opportunities to learn best practices from experienced professionals.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Hydrology, GIS, Water Resource Management and Water Supply systems, with the ability to support planning and basic design tasks.
Understanding of Water Quality principles and Wastewater Treatment processes for environmental and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping, spatial analysis, and data visualization.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in technical work and documentation.
Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
Proficiency in basic engineering software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD or equivalent) and willingness to learn specialized water modeling tools.
