About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Software Engineer to join our high-performing development team and contribute to a data-driven platform that leverages Java and Snowflake SQL. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of software engineering and data science, and who enjoys solving complex problems with elegant, scalable solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java.
Write and debug effective and optimized SQL queries for data transformation and reporting.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Design and develop features aligned with Data Science specifications, leveraging a solid foundation in mathematical and statistical principles to ensure accuracy and performance.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Git and DevOps practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.





Required Qualifications
3+ years of skilled experience in software engineering with a focus on backend and data systems.
Strong proficiency in writing, debugging and optimizing complex SQL queries against large data sets.
Excellent knowledge and expertise on OOP concepts, SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to debugging and optimization.
Familiarity with mathematical modeling, statistics, or data science concepts.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to AI tools like MS Copilot.
