Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and administer enterprise backup and recovery services using Veritas NetBackup and Flex Appliance.
Define backup policies, retention schedules, recovery procedures, and restore validation processes.
Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and drive incident resolution to meet service levels.
Support disaster recovery activities, backup audits, replication workflows, and data lifecycle management.
Automate recurring backup operations and reporting using scripting, while maintaining SOPs and architecture documentation.

Skills Required:
7+ years of experience in enterprise backup engineering or infrastructure operations.




Hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup administration, architecture, and enterprise backup operations.
Solid understanding of backup and recovery, data protection, retention, replication, and deduplication concepts.
Experience supporting production environments with high availability, SLA-driven operations, and performance tuning.
Working knowledge of scripting for automation and integration with infrastructure platforms such as VMware.

Positive to Have:
Experience with Data Domain, NetBackup appliances, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or ServiceNow.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
