Role & responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of Optical Fiber manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, automation, PLC, and control system-related issues.
Work on PLC and SCADA systems for fault identification, troubleshooting, monitoring, and process improvement.
Handle automation systems and controllers from Siemens and Allen-Bradley.
Diagnose faults related to PLC logic, I/O modules, sensors, drives, HMIs, and control panels.
Support maintenance and troubleshooting of automated production lines and critical plant equipment.
Ensure minimum equipment downtime and improve machine availability and reliability.
Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain proper maintenance records.




Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with Production, Process, Quality, and Utility teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
Monitor critical machine parameters and identify prospects for process and equipment improvement.
Maintain spare parts requirements and support planning for critical maintenance inventory.
Participate in breakdown analysis, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, 5S, and plant maintenance procedures.
Support installation, commissioning, modification, and upgradation of equipment and automation systems whenever required.
