Job Summary:

The Lab Manager is responsible for the overall management and smooth operation of the laboratory, including staff supervision, testing activities, equipment, documentation, safety, quality systems, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure timely completion of testing and analysis.
Plan and allocate laboratory work among analysts/technicians.
Supervise, train, and evaluate laboratory staff.
Ensure laboratory tests are performed according to approved SOPs and validated methods.
Review and verify test results, worksheets, reports, and laboratory records.
Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, calibration, qualification, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of samples and chemicals.
Maintain laboratory inventory and coordinate procurement of chemicals, reagents, consumables, and other supplies.
Implement and maintain laboratory quality systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Investigate deviations, out-of-specification results, incidents, and non-conformances,



and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.
Prepare the laboratory for internal and external audits and inspections.
Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
Monitor laboratory housekeeping, safety, environmental controls, and waste management.
Coordinate with QA, Production, R&D;, Maintenance, and other departments as required.
Prepare laboratory reports, performance metrics, and management updates.
Identify opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency, accuracy, safety, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
Relevant laboratory management experience.
Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, SOPs, GLP/GMP or applicable industry standards.
Solid knowledge of laboratory instruments, testing procedures, documentation, and safety requirements.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
