Job Title: Mining Engineer
Department: Land, Mines & Geology
Summary
Responsible for supervising mining operations with focus on safe and effective mine production, drilling & blasting, manpower and machinery management, and statutory compliance. The role will support achievement of production targets while maintaining safety standards at the mine site.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day mining operations in accordance with Rule 45 of MMR, 1961 and applicable statutory requirements.
Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with manpower and machinery safety requirements.
Plan and monitor mining activities to achieve daily production targets.
Supervise drilling and blasting operations for protected and effective mining.
Monitor deployment and utilization of manpower and mining machinery.
Conduct regular mine-site inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
Maintain TBT and promote safety awareness among workmen and contractors.
Coordinate with mining contractors,
supervisors and other departments for smooth operations.
Maintain production, safety and other required operational records and reports.

Qualification B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mining Engineering with a valid Second Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency under MMR, 1961.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Open Cast Mining, preferably in Cement / Limestone Mining.
