Key Job Responsibilities
Transcribe radiology reports from audio dictation into written reports.
Accurately document findings from X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and other imaging studies.
Maintain correct medical terminology, anatomy, abbreviations, medications, and diagnostic terms.
Proofread and edit reports for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and accuracy without changing the radiologists meaning.
Follow prescribed radiology report formats and templates.
Verify patient identifiers and examination details before finalizing reports.
Identify unclear or incomplete dictation and clarify it with the radiologist when required.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and data privacy.
Complete reports within required turnaround times (TAT).
Use EMR/RIS/PACS and transcription software as required.
Perform quality checks to minimize transcription errors.
Follow hospital/company quality, compliance, and documentation standards.
