Role & responsibilities
Source and manage suppliers for all packaging materials.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements.
Evaluate supplier performance and develop strategic partnerships
Plan and maintain optimal inventory levels of packaging materials.
Track consumption patterns, reorder points, and safety stocks
Collaborate with production and stores teams for timely availability.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and alternative packaging solutions.
Support packaging standardization and optimization initiatives.
Monitor packaging material quality and resolve non-conformities with suppliers.
Ensure packaging materials comply with applicable statutory, regulatory, environmental and industry requirements.
Monitor changes in packaging, plastic, EPR, recyclability, labelling and waste-management regulations and assess their impact.
Ensure suppliers maintain valid compliance certificates, declarations and regulatory documents.
Support R&D; and production teams in current packaging design and technology evaluation.




Drive continuous improvement in packaging processes, materials, and sustainability practices.
Maintain procurement data, generate MIS, and track supplier performance.
Provide analytics and reports to support decision-making.
Work with production, quality, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Mentor and guide junior procurement or packaging staff as needed

Responsibilities handled:
Procurement of Chemicals, hazardous raw materials. Global procurement and must handle bulk imports
Procurement planning and supplier management.
