Key Responsibilities

Medication Dispensing and Patient Counseling:

Dispense prescription medications accurately, ensuring proper dosages, formulations, and labeling.

Counsel patients on the secure and effective use of prescribed medications, including potential side effects, interactions, and precautions.

Provide guidance on over-the-counter medications and non-prescription treatments as needed.

Pharmaceutical Care

Conduct medication reviews to ensure that prescriptions are appropriate and align with patients health needs.

Monitor and manage drug therapy to avoid adverse effects and ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Assist in creating individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety

Ensure that all pharmaceutical activities comply with regulatory requirements and pharmacy laws.

Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including medication profiles and medication therapy management.

Stay updated on the latest pharmaceutical laws,



guidelines, and best practices.

Inventory Management

Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.

Oversee proper storage of medications, ensuring that temperature, humidity, and shelf-life guidelines are followed.

Order medications and manage the inventory to avoid shortages and ensure effective supply chain management.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team

Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the effective management of patient health.

Provide input and recommendations for medication therapies based on patient conditions and health data.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and treatment options.

Patient Education
