Job Summary

Outreach Officer Programme Sabrang Clinic - Integrated Care Centre for Sexual Minorities Organisation YRG Medical Education and Research Foundation (YRG MERF).

Location

Hyderabad. Seating is assured at our Secunderabad office.

Responsibilities
Plan and carry out regular field outreach to build sustained awareness about the Sabrang Clinic and the services it offers.
Build and maintain working linkages with key stakeholders - community groups, community-based organisations, government departments, health facilities and other partners.
Set up and follow up referral pathways, so that people reached through outreach actually access clinic services.
Organise awareness activities, community meetings and small events in and around Hyderabad.
Maintain day-to-day records of outreach visits, contacts made and referrals completed, and submit reports on time.
Travel across the city and nearby areas at short notice, as the work demands.
Coordinate closely with the clinic team and the Programme Lead on daily plans and follow-up actions.
Represent YRG MERF and the Sabrang Clinic with courtesy,



and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Take up any other task assigned by the Programme Lead in line with the objectives of the programme.

Requirements
Willingness to expend energies on field outreach and to work in a mobile, on-the-move role.
Own a two-wheeler, with a valid driving licence, for swift movement across the city.
Fluency in English and Telugu at the minimum.
Knowledge of Hindi or other languages will be an added advantage.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and e-mail.
Capability for independent communication with stakeholders - in person, over the phone and in writing.
A sensitive and non-judgemental approach while working with sexual minority communities, and the ability to keep information confidential.
