Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
Customer Consultation: Welcome clients, understand their specific needs (budget, style, occasion), and guide them through suitable diamond, gold, or gemstone collections.
Product Expertise: Articulate details regarding metal purity (karats), diamond grading (the 4 Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat), gemstone authenticity, and design craftsmanship.
Sales & Upselling: Present high-value pieces, suggest complementary items (e.g., matching earrings for a necklace), and negotiate pricing or promotional offers to close sales.
Clienteling & After-Sales: Maintain a client database to track anniversaries, birthdays, and custom orders, providing personalized service that drives repeat business.
Store Operations: Handle inventory management, secure display placement, daily stock audits, and process repair/custom design requests.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Robust interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Deep knowledge of precious metals, hallmarking, and gemological standards.
Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and CRM software.
High attention to security standards and detail in handling high-value merchandise.
