Job Purpose To ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, and to promote a safe working culture within the chemical manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
Safety Compliance
Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and standards in line with statutory requirements.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Training & Awareness
Organize safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Promote awareness of chemical hazards, emergency response, and protected handling practices.
Incident Management
Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Prepare reports and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Emergency Preparedness
Develop and maintain emergency response plans for chemical spills, fires, and explosions.
Coordinate mock drills and ensure readiness of firefighting and safety equipment.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain safety records, permits, and compliance documentation.
Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.

Qualifications




Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Environmental preferred).
Must have PDIS (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety) from Gujarat
Knowledge of chemical process safety, Audits, HAZOP Study, HIRA, and PSM (Process Safety Management).

Skills & Competencies
Solid knowledge of occupational health & safety laws.
Ability to identify hazards and implement risk control measures.
Positive communication and training skills.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Proficiency in safety audit tools and reporting.

Experience
5 - 7 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in chemical or process industries.

Reduction in workplace incidents
and accidents.
Compliance with statutory safety regulations.
Effectiveness of safety training programs.
Timely reporting and closure of corrective actions.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
