Role & responsibilities :
mplement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at the project site.
Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Ensure all workers and subcontractors comply with site safety requirements.
Ensure mandatory PPE such as safety helmets, safety shoes, reflective jackets, gloves, safety harnesses, etc. are used.
Conduct regular Toolbox Talks / Safety Inductions for workers and subcontractors.
Monitor work-at-height activities, scaffolding, ladders and other high-risk activities.
Ensure proper barricading, signage and protected access/egress at the site.
Monitor electrical safety, housekeeping, fire safety and material storage.
Check and maintain safety equipment and firefighting arrangements.
Verify that scaffolding and working platforms are safe before use.
Monitor compliance with approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Permit-to-Work systems, wherever applicable.




Report unsafe practices and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Maintain daily safety inspection reports, toolbox talk records, incident reports and other HSE documentation.
Investigate accidents, near misses and incidents and prepare appropriate reports.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors and client/PMC safety teams.
Assist in emergency preparedness, mock drills and evacuation procedures.
Ensure proper housekeeping and waste management at the work areas.
Stop unsafe work where there is an immediate safety risk and escalate the matter to the Project Manager.
Support the project team in maintaining a secure and compliant working workplace.

Preferred candidate profile
Diploma / Degree in Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Civil Engineering or a related field.
Relevant safety certification such as NEBOSH / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety will be an added advantage.
