Brief Position Summary
The Admin / Program Coordinator will handle daily office operations and provide crucial administrative support for research projects, workshops, and stakeholder communications. This role ensures smooth coordination between researchers, students, faculty, and external partners. Role & responsibilities The successful candidate is expected to carry out the following: -
Program Coordination: Assist in organizing research meetings, academic workshops, seminars, and Centre events. Manage schedules, send invitations, and coordinate logistics.
Office Administration: Oversee day-to-day office operations, manage physical and digital filing systems, handle incoming queries, and maintain office supplies.
Documentation & Reporting: Draft official correspondence, memos, meeting minutes, and progress reports for research initiatives.
Financial Tracking: Assist with basic expense tracking, processing invoices, maintaining vendor bills, and coordinating with the central accounts team for budget clearances.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty members, and external industry collaborators visiting the research Centre.
Desirability
Experience in office administration/program management in an academic setting.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Passionate, creative and self-starters, who can work with little or no supervision.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
The candidate should be medically fit.

Preferred candidate profile
Qualification and Experience
Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in business administration, Commerce, Arts, Science, or a related field.
Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in office administration, executive assistance, or program coordination (experience in academic or research institutions is highly preferred)
Mandatory Skills:
Communication: Robust written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Tamil is highly desirable for local coordination.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a proactive problem solving mindset. Salary - Rs. 36,000/- pm to Rs. 40,000/- pm commensurate with qualification and experience
